To mark its 25th anniversary, Bodegas Vizar is releasing a limited edition that says everything without saying too much: Dehesa Peñalba 25th Anniversary. This wine not only commemorates a quarter-century of work, but also captures it in every glass. As a result, this special edition represents both the soul of the winery and its constant evolution.
A blend that tells our story
This wine is not just another bottle. On the contrary, it’s the result of blending the best of four key vintages: 2022 (42%), 2021 (35%), 2020 (13%), and 2019 (10%). With a base of Merlot (43%), Syrah (39%), Tempranillo (16%), and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), every sip reflects the decisions, effort, and character behind Bodegas Vizar.
The grapes were fermented in stainless steel. Afterward, they underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel, and then matured for 25 months in French oak. The terroir — made up of clay-limestone soils, silt, sand, and pebbles — adds even more: depth, freshness, elegance, and structure. Therefore, the result is a complex, balanced wine that perfectly defines the spirit of Dehesa Peñalba 25th Anniversary.
