Excellence originating in the River Duero
Dehesa Peñalba, located in the famous “Golden Mile of the Duero”, is a “Vino de Pago”, the highest qualification under Spanish law, comparable to the French “Grand Cru”
It is a Protected Designation of Origin exclusive to around twenty Spanish wineries whose soils, climate and location produce exceptional wines

After more than 7 years of rigorous procedures, on 28th February 2022, the Official Journal of the European Union published the dossier containing approval of “Dehesa Peñalba” as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), making it the first winery on the banks of the River Duero to obtain the distinction of “Vino de Pago”
